James "Sam" Sutherland

James E. “Sam” Sutherland, 71, passed away, Tuesday, December 24, 2019. He was born May 23, 1948 in Versailles, KY to James and Gladys Slugantz Sutherland. Sam was a farmer until his retirement. He was a member of Clear Creek Baptist Church.

Including his parents, Sam is survived by a son, Brian E. Sutherland, Versailles; a daughter, Angela K. Sutherland, Versailles; and a brother, Larry W. Sutherland (Connie), Versailles.

Funeral Service will be 1:00pm, Monday, December 30, 2019 at Clark Funeral Home, Rose Hill; officiating will be Rev. Dave Menser. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens, Frankfort. Casketbearers will be Jamie Sutherland, Aaron Sutherland, Luke Lewis, Kenneth Slugantz, Keith Slugantz and David Sutherland; Honorary Casketbearers will be Hunter Sutherland, Steve Slugantz, Hallee Sutherland and Victoria McDaniel. Visitation will be 11:00am-1:00pm, at the funeral home prior to funeral service.
