Jean Thurman

Jean Woolums Thurman, 82, widow of Wallace "Sonny" Thurman, passed away Friday, November 5, 2021. She was a native of Woodford County, born on January 9, 1939 to the late Harry and Lena Woolums.

She is survived by her daughter Debbie (Terry) Smith, Versailles; her sister Fay Slugantz, Georgetown; her brother Cecil (Lola) Woolums, Lexington; her grandchildren Johnathan Smith, Allison (Brandon) French, Elizabeth (Nate Beaton) Smith; 3 great grandchildren; her sister-in-laws Margaret Jones, Versailles; Martha Wright, Versailles; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband of 64 years, she was preceeded in death by her sister Joyce Slugantz; and her brother Kenny Woolums.

A graveside service will be held 10:00am  Monday, November 8, 2021 at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Terry Smith will officiate.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Hospice of the Bluegrass.
